Title: Chinese Chunking

Abstract:

Chunking has been one of the most interesting problems in natural language processing community since the first work of chunk definition by Abney. Chunking is seen as a median stage of full parsing.It can be widely used in many NLP fields, such as information retrieval, question and answering, information extracting and machine translation. I will give a presentation for English and Chinese chunking. The presentation includes two issues: spec and algorithm.
